Volunteer Work Day – Marley Meadows Animal Sanctuary

Join NJveg for a last minute volunteer work day to help out the vegan non-profit Marley Meadows Animal Sanctuary prepare their new location for the cow boys (not cowboys). We highly recommend bringing boots as there’s a few inches of snow on the ground, plus the usual water bottle, bug spray, sunblock, work gloves, work boots, and clothes that can get dirty. If you’d like to donate, you can do so at the sanctuary or online. Children accompanied by parent welcome. The address will be provided privately to volunteers before the event.
Hiking + Vegan Dining – Middlesex County

80 Scotts Corner Rd, Cranbury (Plainsboro Township), NJ 08512
The 91st in NJveg’s hiking/walking + vegan dining series will be our annual New Year’s Day hike. We’ll start with an easy ~4 mile hike at Plainsboro Preserve (info, map, trail info). We’ll meet at the parking area, GPS coordinates 40°20’58.8″N 74°33’34.7″W. Please arrive on time as we need to start promptly at noon. We’re looking for suggestions for a vegan-friendly restaurant that will be open on the holiday.
