NJveg Future Educational Outreach
The following is a partial listing of potential educational outreach venues for 2024. We’ll register for these and additional events, pending enough volunteers for both setting up and packing up. Please let us know if you’re interested in volunteering for any of these (and what times you’re available). If you know of potential venues for outreach, please let us know!
- (confirmed) Moorestown Pride Festival, Friday October 18, 6pm-9pm (need 1 for set up)
- (confirmed) West Windsor Community Farmers Market, Saturday October 19, 9am-1pm (need 1 for set up, 1 for pack up)
- (confirmed) Batsto Country Living Fair, Hammonton, Sunday October 20, 10am-4pm (need 2 for pack up)
- (confirmed) Burlington County Farmers Market, Moorestown, Saturday November 2, 8:30am-1pm
- (confirmed) Vegan in NJ Monthly Market, Neptune Township, Sunday November 3, noon-5pm
At these events, NJveg answers questions and provides free literature on the benefits of a plant-based life. Come out for an hour, or the entire event. No experience is necessary. We particularly need help setting up (usually about an hour before events) and packing up (to about 30 minutes after events).
We can’t staff our tables without you, so please consider volunteering for one or more events. Help NJveg spread the word that going vegan saves animals, protects the environment, and improves your health — to potentially hundreds of people at each event! We’ll register for events pending enough volunteers – at least 3 for setting up and 3 for packing up. The number of volunteers still needed for each event is listed above. Please let us know which of these dates (and times – setup, pack up, both, or other) you can help out. There aren’t many organizations that fill this role, so please consider helping out!
If you’re interested in joining NJveg’s outreach team, please contact us at NJveg.org@gmail.com or 609-557-7077 (text preferred). Unable to volunteer? Please consider a tax-deductible donation to help us pay for event fees (which can run up to $200), supplies, and literature (click the Donate button at NJveg.org). Thank you!
