152 Chapel Hill Rd, Middletown, NJ 07748

Join NJveg and Vegan in NJ for a volunteer work day!  We’ll be helping out the vegan non-profit micro-sanctuary Oscar’s Piggy Oasis.  We highly recommend bringing a water bottle, bug spray, sunblock, work gloves, work boots, and clothes that can get dirty (there’s a lot of mud!).  They’ve been around for over 20 years and specialize in hospice and special-needs pigs.  They also have cats and a turtle.

The sanctuary was devastated by a house fire in 2022.  Fortunately none of the residents were injured, but they’ve been struggling to recover ever since.  We’re hoping to help them get back on track, so we’re heading back.  They need lots of supplies for the house and animals.  If you can help in that manner, please reach out to us for details.  If you’d like to donate, you can do so at the sanctuary or online at:

  • Venmo: @Dawn-Midgley
  • Paypal: upatdawn@aol.com (direct link: PayPal.Me/DawnWMV)
  • Apple Cash – cell: 908-902-3202, @Dawn-Midgley
