The 112th in NJveg’s hiking/walking + vegan dining series will start at Turkey Swamp Park (brochure, trail info). We’ll meet at the Oak Point parking area, north of the lake.Afterward, we’ll head to the Vegan in NJ Monthly Market (at American Legion Post 346, 21 Gully Rd, Neptune Township, NJ 07753) for dining and shopping.If there’s a lot of rain prior, we may move the hike to Shark River Park (as Turkey Swamp Park can be quite wet). If there’s rain forecast on Sunday, we’ll head to the market at noon with the hike rain date TBD. Join NJveg for a volunteer work day! We’ll be helping the vegan nonprofit sanctuary Blackbird Animal Refuge. We highly recommend bringing a water bottle, bug spray, sunblock, work gloves, work boots, and clothes that can get dirty. If you’d like to donate, you can do so at the sanctuary or online.Space is limited, age 12+ only. Please sign up only if you are serious about attending and plan to attend for the full time. If anything comes up and you need to cancel, let us know ASAP, so that we may fill your spot. We’ve had a problem with last minute cancellations – don’t be that person!
