The 93rd in NJveg’s (@vegnj) hiking/walking + vegan dining series was on Sunday March 16. We started with a delicious lunch at The Address Greek (20 South St), followed by takeout from Baklava Cafe (164 South St), both Morristown participants in the Eat for Impact program (menus). Some of us also stopped by Feasty Vegan (@feastyvegan, 62B South St) for a little shopping, and then headed to nearby Speedwell Lake Park for a ~3.8 mile walk on Patriot’s Path (heading west). 📸 Andrea, Raizzi, and Steve![]()

NJveg (@vegnj) joined Surfrider Foundation at Cattus Island County Park in Toms River for a beach cleanup on Saturday March 15 (thanks to Tom P for the suggestion!). The NJveg team worked on the Maritime Forest (Red) Trail, and wound up hiking ~2 miles while picking up a lot of garbage. NJveg had a volunteer work day on Saturday March 8, helping the vegan non-profit (founded in 1988!) The Cow Sanctuary in Bridgeton. We stacked an enormous pile of firewood (before and after photos included) and removed most of a huge fallen tree. On Sunday March 2, NJveg (NJveg) had a lunch outing at Parkside Tavern, one of the Morristown participants in the Eat for Impact program. American Vegan Society, The Humane League, NJveg, Revolution Philadelphia, Veggie Mijas, and Plant Based Treaty co-hosted an activist networking event at the American Vegan Center in Philadelphia on Friday February 21. Participants had a chance to connect and learn about local campaigns that are vegan with ahimsa. AVC plans to have more of these in the future!
