NJveg is collaborating with Planted Society on an Eat for Impact initiative in Morristown! Eat for Impact is a city-sponsored initiative highlighting the environmental effects of our food choices. Locally-owned restaurants in Morristown are introducing plant-based specials as a way to help the community lower its collective climate impact. Each restaurant creates at least 2 new plant-based specials that are available the entire month of March. Participation is free and lots of marketing is included! At the end of each challenge, Planted Society presents a report that highlights the environmental benefits of the initiative, including significant reductions in greenhouse gases and lasting improvements in community food habits.
NJveg is organizing meetups at a couple of participating restaurants, and have an accompanying hike or walk – Sunday March 2, Sunday March 16, and possibly another TBD (see the individual listings as details are finalized)!
