Speakers + Q&A and Vegan Potluck

December 4 @ 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Free

NJveg was invited to present a vegan program at the Princeton Eats Plants Community Potluck, with a focus on living a plant-based life.  We’ll have several speakers covering the basics, their experiences, and reasons to go vegan!  The potluck is open to the public – please RSVP on PEP’s Meetup or Facebook.

Info from PEP:
Join us for a Plant-Based Community Potluck in the Founders Room at UUCP. We’ll gather at 6pm, and share our meal at 6:30. Please bring any plant-based Holiday dishes (however you may interpret that!) and join us for an evening of community and conversation.
***Please bring a plate and utensils for yourself, as well as a MUG for water and a SOUP BOWL for any soups or stews that are offered.***
Hope to see you there! See below about food guidelines.
As we like to say each month in our welcome, wherever you are in your plant-forward journey, you are welcome here. We are a community who cares about our health, the environment, and all human and non-human animals. PEP is made up of people who are plant-based, curious about plant-based, and/or who keep a whole foods, plant-based (WFPB) lifestyle. Each month, we will have 2 sections of dishes, one for stricter SOS (salt, oil, sugar) – free foods to accommodate our members who are addressing health concerns with a healthy, SOS-free way of living, and one for our plant-based dishes which may contain some oil, sugar, or salt. Please avoid all animal products and as always, include a complete list of ingredients and/or a recipe so people know what they are eating. Also, if you use SOS (salt, oil, sugar) in your dish, please try to reduce it for this event.
We appreciate any dish made from grains, beans, legumes, seeds, nuts, vegetables, and fruit (for example, a lentil, pasta, or quinoa salad, vegetable stew, corn bread, brownies, muffins, or cookies). As always, fresh fruit or veggies are a wonderful contribution if you are lacking time or inspiration to prepare a dish.
Please bring a list of ingredients and a serving utensil. We strive to be a zero-waste community, so please bring a water bottle, plate, bowl, and silverware for you and your party as well.
